Chocolate Cookie Recipie

For she who just asked - also an excuse for me to try the lj cut thingy..

Note: This dough has to cool in fridge overnight to firm up and loose stickiness. Just warning ahead...

Cocoa Snowflakes

1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons butter
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup powdered confectioners sugar

Sift flour, baking soda and salt in bowl.

In heavy saucepan melt butter over low heat, add cocoa powder and blend well with fork.

Remove pan from heat and stir in sugar (mixture will be dark at this point)

Stir butter mixture into bowl of flour, baking soda and salt. Add eggs one at a time and them stir in flour.

Cover bowl and refrigerate overnight - or at least several hours till mixture hardens and loses sticky aspect.

Dust hands in confectioners sugar - then roll dough into little balls, roll through conf sugar and bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes.
