It's all fun and games at the Hospital

I have the very best of good news to report – in the estimate of the Dr – my girl’s procedure was curative.

This is the best of all possible news.

It’s been a long day. We were at the hospital by 9am and they did not take her until 4p. That is a long time to sit around in pre-op and play Anywhere But Here with someone who’s every choice was “anyplace with a sandwich.” She was a sparkling bundle of joy by the time they finally took her.

I couldn’t believe the amount she ate once she came to. Such future blackmail material. Who knew someone that tiny could pack away that much food in a semi conscious state?

They promised that we could go home tonight, but my Drama Queen gets faint every time they stand her up. At first I thought it was the result of watching “Planet of the Apes” starring Markey Mark, but apparently she doesn’t recover quickly from sedation. Here she stays, overnight.

I sent Mr. W home and donned my company jammies. I’m parked in the guest chair. I just couldn’t bring myself to leave her here alone. I know this crowd understands – we all saw that Buffy when she was in the hospital. I might have to slay something that threatens my girl.

Now I’m watching “House.” What could be better than hoping Hugh Laurie might show up while I sit around the hospital?

I’ll use this as further proof that I am the best Mother evah. She better cough it up for the good nursing home someday.

Thanks, all of you, for our good wishes. You guys are the best.
