Today, I might expire of overeating.
The Festival of Carb Worship went very nicely here. We had my Parents, (who live right up the street and are here 10 times daily) plus Mr. Wonderful’s Mom and Jim the fiancée.
So 8 of us sat down to a meal that would have easily fed 20. As Art Buchwald once said, this is the one holiday where Americans eat better than the French.
Even as I write, my Son is rampaging in the kitchen again. A 17 year old boy can eat his body weight every day and still be skinny.
The only thing I ever really write about is how much I love my family. That pretty much sums up who I am and what my life is. I am very, very thankful for my place in the universe. To me, happiness, laughter and love are interchangeable feelings. It might be my greatest blessing, along with an ability to live only in the moment.
SO – In this moment – I want to thank all of you in LJLand. Every day, you share your lives with me. It is an incredibly generous gift. Thank you for laughing with me, for commenting in my journal, for sharing your joys and sorrows, for posting fiction, pictures, opinions, rants. You all are the best.
One of these days soon, now that I am back in healthyland, I am going to answer comments. I didn’t forget anyone. I just lost my sass for a few weeks.
